Professional development in trauma sensitive maternal care that honours you & your clients

Let's create a culture of trauma-sensitive maternal care together

When we work with mothers and caregivers, we can assume that at least 1/5 of our clients are survivors of sexual abuse and even more hva childhood trauma. Whilst the culture of silencing keeps our experiences in the shadows, we have an opportunity to honour people’s untold stories through our care.

When we support everyone with trauma-sensitive maternal care, everyone benefits. This reduces birth trauma and re-traumatisation, increases perinatal outcomes and gives people the best start to parenthood for their unique experience.

Creating a culture of trauma-sensitive maternal care is my special interest and I LOVE talking about how we can bring this into our practice in a sustainable way.

I have educated midwives and obstetricians in the public hospital setting, taught doulas and matrescence coaches, held circles for psychologists and more. I am comfortable in small settings or large crowds, in person and online.

I am known for being a gentle and joyful communicator who meets audiences where they are at and works within their capacity. I always receive positive feedback about my presence and contribution.

If you work with mothers and caregivers or you educate maternal care practitioners, let’s connect!
